Tehillim Psalms 125

Welcome Back To #Season6 Of…..

Marie Speaks G-D’s Grace Bible Study.

Now I have posted videos reading the Psalms on our Youtube and Rumble and IG social media pages, but this seasons goal will be something more in depth, more G’W terminology filled, and G’W applicable to one’s life.

So as we…..

Along with the terminology of Tehillim 125 we will also be growing in our Hebrew and Jewish terminology Word of the Week…..Hypocrite

As we learned and will continue to learn what is a Hypocrite Tsa voo’a is someone so numb to one’s wicked ways, that person does not care to seek to improve oneself. In fact, the hypocrite often encourages others who are just if not more wicked than oneself to engage in multiple hypocrisies tsvee’oot, sowing division, hate, and toxic environment. The hypocrite thrives in imposing hypocrisy in almost a gang or corrupt war-like manner, always aiming to target the righteous.

Of course I want to repeat one should always, mainly seek from G-d Almighty, and with secondly from man in the study of the Hebrew and Jewish terminology word of the Week. In preforming this seeking of wisdom one can and will be more equipped to understand, relearn, and gain wisdom in the terminology of Tehillim 125.

There is no doubt in my mind after each weeks of combine lessons and Blogs, we will be equipped and passionate about truly living a Torah and Tanakh filled life each and every season of our life and therefore, enriching the lives of those we love and come into any form of contact with throughout this lifetime.

Before reciting the Psalms

Blessings Before Reciting Tehillim / Psalms

Why prayer before reciting Tehillim/ Psalms?:

Before we recite Tehillim / Psalms, it is for the benefit of the one engaging in praise to center their hearts and mind focus solely on the words they are preparing to recite. One is preparing themselves to remove the worries and cares of each day, and be solely in the presence of the Almighty, Blessed be He.

Therefore, we as an adoring bride and loyal subject to the Only Living G-d, Our King, our source, and among other beautiful aspects of our respect for our Father, the Creator of the Universe and everything therein; we aim to concentrate on Him and Him alone.

Before we begin the Study of the Tehillim / Psalms, reciting the Blessing/Prayer, we are fulfilling a mitzvah or sacred tradition on the merits of those Blessed Great Leaders who served HaShem with a joyful heart, and will, and might.; Blessing HaShem, of Glory and Truth’s beautiful Torah/Tanakh.

A Mitzvah is defined basically as:

  1. A commandment of the Jewish law.
  2. The fulfillment of such a commandment.
  3. A good, just, and / or worthy deed.

As I play the video during the Live or uploaded lessons, please try and focus on the words being recited and center oneself in the present moment. This can be difficult at first, but after some time and or many lessons, there is no doubt in my mind that we both achieve our accomplished goal, preparedness in the presence of HaShem.

Centering oneself may come easier to some than to others, be patient with oneself. It’s ok.

Just breathe.

Before each video lesson:

I want to do my utmost to ensure I am not leading others into improper practices. I want to ensure I repeat the Blessings before reciting the Psalms to HaShem, Our Merciful Father. We will play the after the Psalms Prayer at the completion of each video lesson.

Let Us Begin With Today’s Lesson!

1. Tehillim 125 Bible Study

A Ma῾alot Poem. They who trust in the Lord shall be like mount Żiyyon, which cannot be removed, but abides for ever.

As the mountains are round about Yerushalayim, so the Lord is round about his people from henceforth and forever.

For the sceptre of wickedness shall not rest upon the share allotted to the righteous; lest the righteous put forth their hands to do wrong.

Do good, O Lord, to those who are good, and to those who are upright in their hearts.

As for such as turn aside to their crooked ways, the Lord shall lead them away with the workers of iniquity: but peace shall be upon Yisra᾽el.

Koren Translation

Seven mountain peaks surround the ancient City of Jerusalem (which was then much smaller than modern day Jerusalem which has greatly expanded in recent generations). These peaks are (1) Mount Scopus, (2) Mount of Olives, (3) Mount of Corruption (all three are peaks of a ridge stretching east of the City itself), (4) Mount Ophel, (5) the original Mount Zion/Moriah (today’s Temple Mt.), (6) the New Mount Zion (where the traditional Upper Room is located), and (7) the peak upon which the Roman Antonia Fortress was built just north of the Temple.

These seven peaks surround the biblical city of Jerusalem from all sides.

Let’s ask ourselves: Are Jews all the same?

Answer: Of course no. Just as not all Texans’, or Teachers, or song writers the same.

The specific relevant content for this request, if necessary, delimited with characters: They might have similarities, but each nation is a grand makeup of people. As vastly wondrous as each fingerprint or snowflake. Unique, yet unity G’W.

Mountain Jews are not Sephardim (from the Iberian Peninsula) nor Ashkenazim (from Central Europe) but rather of Persian Jewish origin, and most of them follow Edot HaMizrach customs. Mountain Jews tenaciously held to their religion throughout the centuries, developing their own unique traditions and religious practices.[41] Mountain Jewish traditions are infused with teachings of Kabbalah and Jewish mysticism.[42] Mountain Jews have also developed and retained unique customs different from other Jews, such as govgil, an end-of-Passover picnic celebration involving the whole community.

Mountain Jews have traditionally maintained a two-tiered rabbinate, distinguishing between a rabbi and a dayan. “Rabbi” was a title given to religious leaders performing the functions of liturgical preachers (maggids) and cantors (hazzans) in synagogues (“nimaz”), teachers in Jewish schools (cheders), and shochets. The dayan was a chief rabbi of a town, presiding over beit dins and representing the highest religious authority for the town and nearby smaller settlements.[43] Dayans were elected democratically by community leaders.

Mountain Jews speak Judeo-Tat, also called Juhuri, a form of Persian; it belongs to the southwestern group of the Iranian division of the Indo-European languages. Judeo-Tat has Semitic (Hebrew/Aramaic/Arabic) elements on all linguistic levels.[52] Among other Semitic elements, Judeo-Tat has the Hebrew sound “ayin” (ע), whereas no neighboring languages have it. Until the early Soviet period, the language was written with semi-cursive Hebrew alphabet. Later, Judeo-Tat books, newspapers, textbooks, and other materials were printed with a Latin alphabet and finally in Cyrillic, which is still most common today.[52] The first Judeo-Tat-language newspaper, Zakhmetkesh (Working People), was published in 1928 and operated until the second half of the twentieth century.[53]

Originally, only boys were educated through synagogue schools. Starting from the 1860s, many well-off families switched to home-schooling, hiring private tutors, who taught their sons not only Hebrew, but also Russian.[54] In the early 20th century, with advance of sovietization, Judeo-Tat became the language of instruction at newly founded elementary schools attended by both Mountain Jewish boys and girls. This policy continued until the beginning of World War II, when schools switched to Russian as the central government emphasized acquisition of Russian as the official language of the Soviet Union.

Mountain Jewish community has had notable figures in public health, education, culture, and art.[55]

In the 21st century, the Russian government started encouraging the revival of cultural life of minorities. In Dagestan and Kabardino-Balkaria, Judeo-Tat and Hebrew courses have been introduced in traditionally Mountain Jewish schools. In Dagestan, there is support for the revival of the Judeo-Tat-language theater and the publication of newspapers in that language.[55

Over time the Mountain Jews adopted the dress of their Muslim neighbors. Men typically wore chokhas and covered their head with papakhas, many variations of which could symbolize the men’s social status. Wealthier men’s dress was adorned with many pieces of jewelry, including silver and gold-decorated weaponry, pins, chains, belts, or kisets (small purse used to hold tobacco or coins).[58] Women’s dress was typically of simpler design in dark tones, made from silkbrocadevelvet, satin and later wool. They decorated the fabric with beads, gold pins or buttons, and silver gold-plated belts. Outside the house, both single and married women covered their hair with headscarves.[58]

As we read the Psalms again I want others to attempt to picture in their mind what or whom or the various of characters King David of Blessed, memory might be referrences.

The specific relevant content for this request, if necessary, delimited with characters: The fact of the matter is, many often say the way of Orthodox Judaism today is the same as it has always been. This is incorrect. The only consistent Orthodox Judaism observances are HaShem, Torah, Tanakh, and the Books of Wisdom, of which there are many. Although, jus to be fair even which books are considered Books of Wisdom or acceptable cannon is debated.

Question: Writings and love of Torah B’H have remained the same? but unfortunately, Judaism has not?

Yes and No. Depends on who one ask.

And perhaps this is a benefit to us as well, as not remaining the same was a benefit to those who have lived and survived through an amount of persecution that we, as GW, will never experience.

King David might not have dressed in the manner of custom as the Mountain Jews. King David possibly would definitely not dress similarly to the Orthodox Observant Jews of America, Europe, or even Slavic Nations. In fact, I am willing to bet Judaism today would not be quite and resembling anything our Blessed Sages of yesterday would even approve of.

One might accuse us of being hypocrites today for not keeping centuries-old dress traditions, foods, or consistent values throughout each territory.

With such a variety within one’s own people group, how can one differentiate the righteous from the wicked, the Torah observant from the hypocrite, the pious from the fool?

Why am I saying or asking all this. Well, let’s read again Tehillim 125.

The final verses of Tehillim 125 are a plea from King David on behalf of All of Yisra’el and petition for the separartion and leading away of the righteous from “crooked ways and workers of iniquity.”

This is a time when the First and Second Temple was just a dream a desire.

When the First and Second Temple’s article and construction was a gathering of many forms of material to build One Beautiful Structure.

The First and Second Temple, was a hope and dream and goal that brought together several different Nations, possibly of a variety of custom or even religious beliefs and customs.

Sometimes the gathering of items for the construction of the First and Second might have been difficult. Some days might have been very easy. Along with preparing for the day of the laying of the first stone… everyone was still maintaining or starting families, having birthdays, observing festivals and feasts, burying loved ones, and so on.

Perhaps some days there were disagreements or even fights and arguments amongst families of Nations? How could there not have been with so many humans, yes, humans in one location?

If one where to read the Books concerning the Life of Kind David and also study the Historical Books of the cultures and people surrounding those regions, one would possibly find that my assumption are not that for fetched.

When we read Tehillim 125:4-5, King David isn’t pleading with Almighty G-d to separate races, or cultures, or even those who dress or look something like him of what he prefers or is accustomed to seeing.

“Do good, O Lord, to those who are good, and to those who are upright in their hearts.

As for such as turn aside to their crooked ways, the Lord shall lead them away with the workers of iniquity: but peace shall be upon Yisra᾽el.”

King David, ask G-d to separate “crooked ways and ….the workers of iniquity.” I don’t see any races, social classes, or geographic destination in the text, this might suggest neither did King David have those in mind when he wrote the Tehillim 125, and neither does HaShem when HaShem grants and fulfills King David’s request. My question is why then do we?

G-d, looks at a person free will use. King David knew this was a good indicator of a man’s heart. Therefore perhaps we should as well.

Don’t be a Hypocrite.

Omayn and Omayn.

When one acknowledges G-d as their complete source in all aspects of one’s life, they enter into a covenant with the Blessed Holy One.

And  HaShem our G-D spoke to Moses, saying: “Speak to Aaron and his sons, saying, ‘This is the way you shall bless the children of Israel. Say to them:

Yeesa Adonai panav elecha viyasem lecha shalom
“The L-d bless you and keep you;
The L-d make His face shine upon you,
And be gracious to you;
The L-d lift up His countenance upon you,
And give you peace.” ’

FOR THOSE THAT ARE NEW TO THIS BIBLE STUDY.

Welcome, the following is a brief review of this Bible Study.

1. This BLOG post will have the resources and sources links for the Season 6 Bible Studies.

2. All Books used and Readings from during Live Bible Study can be found on Our Website: Marie Speaks GOD’s Grace. Live in the Bible Study Blogs portion of the website.

3. After Live Bible Studies have completed: I will upload to Rumble and Youtube, and post link in this BLOG. How we conduct Bible Studies here:

We believe in One and Only One G-D. HaShem; The G-D of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. We do not and will not Pray in any others name or Praise any other, but HaShem.

Exodus chapter 20: 2-14.God spoke all these words, saying:I the LORD am your God who brought you out of the land of Egypt, the house of bondage:You shall have no other gods besides Me.You shall not make for yourself a sculptured image, or any likeness of what is in the heavens above, or on the earth below, or in the waters under the earth. You shall not bow down to them or serve them. For I the LORD your God am an impassioned God, visiting the guilt of the parents upon the children, upon the third and upon the fourth generations of those who reject Me, but showing kindness to the thousandth generation of those who love Me and keep My commandments.

We believe G-D has called each of us to search matters out. (It is the glory of God to conceal a matter, And the glory of a king to plumb a matter.Like the heavens in their height, like the earth in its depth, Is the mind of kings—unfathomable. Proverbs 25:2 -3)

This is one reason why here at Marie Speaks G-D’s Grace Bible Study, we review several historical references and resources, of which we provide links and or screen shots for others to study at their leisure. We have been directed by G-D Wonderful and Almighty, to go Book by Book, Verse by Verse; sharing HIS Torah and Tanakh. We believe as directed by G-D Our Heavenly Father, learning and growing in Torah and Tanakh leads to understanding and wisdom; this shall only be achieved in reading, studying, and sharing HIS Word for ourselves; not relying on man.

Learning, growing, and studying with OUR L-D is to be done with others that are like minded, but more so during our personal time.

The BLOGs are written to assist those just beginning to study the BIBLE as a starting point. The Live or recorded Bible Studies are to cover and release opportunities and guidance, but ultimately is ones own personal responsibility to rule, govern, and be purposeful in their relationship with G-D.

Proverbs 22: 4 thru 6The effect of humility is fear of the LORD, Wealth, honor, and life.Thorns and snares are in the path of the crooked; He who values his life will keep far from them.Train a lad in the way he ought to go; He will not swerve from it even in old age.

Ezekiel 18: 20 thru 22The person who sins, he alone shall die. A child shall not share the burden of a parent’s guilt, nor shall a parent share the burden of a child’s guilt; the righteousness of the righteous shall be accounted to him alone, and the wickedness of the wicked shall be accounted to him alone. Moreover, if the wicked one repents of all the sins that he committed and keeps all My laws and does what is just and right, he shall live; he shall not die.None of the transgressions he committed shall be remembered against him; because of the righteousness he has practiced, he shall live. Is it my desire that a wicked person shall die?—says the L-d G-D. It is rather that he shall turn back from his ways and live.

May HaShem, Blessed be He, continue to Bless us all and may we all be forever written in the Book of Life. O’Amein and O’AmeinA little about me: I love HaShem, TORAH, and Tanakh!!!!! I am not perfect!!!!

If we meet: We talking about Torah, drinking tea or coffee, and what books are out about HaShem! And maybe over some kosher pizza… maybe over some kosher steak…make over super sweet kosher cake ……. have a fun laugh about you guess it… Torah! Or on a bike, or  during a hike,  or while riding on a train in the rain as the rain falls nicely on the plain in Spain….., but either way…..We’ll be talking about TORAH!!!!

What is import to me:……..A relationship with Our Father  HaShem, Our Merciful Creator, Savior, and Wise King. Live in Torah, live with Family and community of Tribe.

My thoughts: We may not be perfect, but we study, we learn, we laugh, & we grow; we try try and have the courage to try again.

My goals: To learn, and grow, and share Love of Torah in HaShem with others who are willing or open to hearing. HaShem is my refuge, my strength, my confidant, and my true resting place.I have been using the minds.com account and Rumble (Live Bible Study video Post: Rumble  )as main accounts.

Lastly, NEVER LOSE FAITH, Hope, and have Courage!!!!Let’s continue to Fear and Love HaShem like a משיח and Pray.

PRAY FOR OUR NATION, enemies, fellows, and many lost Sons and Daughters of Torah to return to HaShem, Blessed be He, for ever and ever Amen.  HaShem is with me … I shall not be afraid!!!!!

Blessings and Prayers.

with Love truly,

Marie
