Devarim Deuteronomy ch 12 “Where His Shechinah dwells”

In this Bible Study we will be going over: Devarim (Deuteronomy) ch 12. I entitled this Bible Study…….”Where His Shechinah dwells”. I believe this title suits this Bible Study for the main concepts being what is required to be present and not be present in a territory in order for that location to be a worthy place for “Where His Shechinah dwells”.

get it?!? hahaha… I am surely getting awesomely good at this hinting and joking thing!

I believe this Bible Studies main concepts are: 1. What is actions are required of us to prepare a place for HaShem’s Presence to dwell. 2. How can one “know” the “will” of G-D for or in their life? 3. Am I currently doing my best to ensure a long term stay of HaShem?
For you will not have come as yet to the peace [the place of tranquility] and to the territory that Adonoy, your God, is giving you. When you cross the Yardein and settle in the land that Adonoy, your God, is apportioning to you, and He has granted you peace from all your enemies around, and you will live secure.

This week’s Jewish terminology word is: hevrah kadishah (holy society)

With a heavy heart we will do our best to review this weeks definition of hevrah kadishah (HEV-rah kah-DEE-shah). This word for the week was chosen at random. I was going to ask the children in the home class to chose another word. With the terrible and violate attacks at the Jerusalem synagogue recently and the other hate filled senseless murders that happened this past week; it didn’t seem right. But, then I felt a leading… almost like… someone asking me, “what about the other deaths that did not make the news? What about the value of life and to live as G-D has commanded?”

Are all these troubles in the world because we as humans have forgotten the value of life and to live for G-D? Have we forgotten our duty to our creator and fellow man?

“HaShem SAVE! May the king answer us on the day that we call!”

Re’eh Deuteronomy 11: 26–32, “For those who know my name”

Deuteronomy Portion of the Bible Study will be Re’eh Deuteronomy 11:26–16:17, Haftarah: Isaiah 54:11 – 55:5. The next Portion of the Bible Study will be Softim Deuteronomy 16:18–21:9 , Haftara: (Isaiah 51:12 – 52:12)

I believe this Bible Studies main concepts are: 1. G-D’s name and the importance of His Name. 2. The important of our name. 3. The importance of a name. 4. Does knowing G-D’s name, mean one can or will be Spiritual taken back to the Garden of Eden? A place before, transgression; for example. A place where we are not ashamed and pronto hurts and wounds? A place free from hardship and or trials of this world? Will there be a place of spiritual soul identity, rather than a fleshy identity.?

Something we all have in common at some basic level …food

and the want

and the desire to like what we eat…

and to have the substance of what we chose to intake be at some level beneficial to ones self.

Well…..in Orthodox Judaism of course food and the nutriment value of the food is taken another step deeper…into the spiritual realm.

I believe this Bible Studies main concepts are: 1. No Jew can pick or choose among the commandments of Torah.  2. All Blessings of Torah de HaShem are contingent on the full and whole acceptance, and a personal application, and observance of the Torah de HaShem.  3. And, not lastly every word the proceeds from our King’s Mouth is a Lawful order to life, this is what we who love HaShem…. choose, live on, and obey.
