Let’s continue on..
What to expect this Bible Study?
We will continue to increase in our intro Hebrew vocabulary, with an intro to Hebrew terminology, coupled with A version of The Tanakh (the actual …. Jewish Bible.. that means no “new testament”) introduction, and always rooted in Torah Spiritual Teaching.
The books, sources, and resources or references I will do my best to make sure are hyperlinked for others to review and study at their own leisure and for gaining in self-learning/teaching.
My goal is to help and assist others by studying, researching, applying in life, then learning and sharing/teaching what I have learned or experienced. This rounds out my personal experiences in any moment or season of life, thus forming a reality.
This reality is a living, yes living, energy frequency.
Physical And Spiritual
Able to raise higher and higher (G-d willing) and be adjusted as more experiences and new learning take place. These are my attempts at improving myself and hoping to leave the part of the world I have been placed, in better state than before (if needed) and the people I encounter (if possible). People and or places, I am so very blessed to encounter, G-d willing, will have a positive (frequency strong hold/ pillar of success for G-d’s Glory) experience of their own that will ultimately lead them to… you guessed it… G-d and His Holy Torah.
This Is Not Forced Or Coerced, Nor Manipulated.
With full acceptance of my own and others free will, (given to us by the Holy Creator), therefore at the end of the day one’s own education is determined by their efforts, intentions, and perseverance of truth.
Everyone has a responsibility to their own life, experiences, learning, and education (to name a few), in seeking and finding truth forming their reality.
TRUTH
I believe all truth comes from G-d and was given to us in His Holy Torah, and then lived out in the Tanakh.
In order to understand, realize, and learn the truth, we should attempt, to the highest degree possible, to learn terminology, and then share this beauty with others who are open.
So What Is Terminology?
Terminology, as defined by Wikipedia, is:
Terminology is a group of specialized words and respective meanings in a particular field, and also the study of such terms and their use; the latter meaning is also known as terminology science.A term is a word, compound word, or multi-word expressions that in specific contexts is given specific meanings—these may deviate from the meanings the same words have in other contexts and in everyday language.
Terminology is a discipline that studies, among other things, the development of such terms and their interrelationships within a specialized domain.
Terminology differs from lexicography, as it involves the study of concepts, conceptual systems and their labels (terms), whereas lexicography studies words and their meanings.
Terminology is a discipline that systematically studies the “labelling or designating of concepts” particular to one or more subject fields or domains of human activity. It does this through the research and analysis of terms in context for the purpose of documenting and promoting consistent usage.
Terminology can be limited to one or more languages (for example, “multilingual terminology” and “bilingual terminology”), or may have an interdisciplinarity focus on the use of terms in different fields.
Let’s get into…..

Some might perhaps might be pondering…
Marie, why this choice of Hebrew and Jewish Terminology Word of the Week?
Look Linda, my friends and family.. in order to grow as a more righteous person, we all have to or should
“KNOW THYSELF AND SEEK SELF IMPROVEMENT”
So yes, sometimes or often before addressing concerns or annoyances of others, we must first admit parts of ourselves that need improvement. We all, and I do mean all, have or are currently hypocrites, living in hypocrisy, or being hypocritical.
Stop, pretending.….Linda
I’ll be the first to admit my faults. I can and am sometimes a big fat nasty hypocrite, in certain parts of my life, or in character traits.
Yes, 100%.
And these are a part of my spirit, I don’t want. In fact, I would love and work very hard to move away from.

I’ll find myself in prayer sometimes, and I’ll be speaking my annoyances or grievances to my ABBA, The Holy Blessed One. And I’ll feel that still small voice within me show me a picture as if a movie scene in my mind, and I realize; yep, I am being a hypocrite.
And I love this still small voice of G-d, with us!
WHY?
Because that feeling or connection to the still small voice within us is sweet progress.
Yes, progress in the process.
I am, just as many of us are, gaining in the beautiful sensitivity of hearing and being led by the Blessed Spirit of HaShem. This is progress in Torah and Living a Truly Torah-filled Life, take sweet time and patience.
Maybe months ago or even years ago, I would have been praying to ABBA, and I was so very certain I had no faults to correct myself. Everything negative that was or had happened was someone else’s doing to me and I didn’t deserve any of it. When in truth, perhaps I was just at fault and guilty as them.
And there I was being a big fat hypocrite.
So now that I have gained and progressed in G-d, B’H, when I am Praying or thinking or reviewing events of my day or life, I have that opportunity of repentance Teshuva and opportunity to make atonements; when that sweet small voice and Spirit of HaShem leads and guides me as I am so very sure G-d is leading and guiding others.
This is a beautiful experience I long for each day. Painful sometimes, but needed in order to feel conviction. Not conviction in order to continuing damaging or breaking down oneself, but to release the opportunity for positive change.
Conviction in Hebrew can also be known as:
Defining conviction:
A conviction is something certain: a judgment of guilty in court and a strong belief are both convictions.
In the legal world, when a judge or jury convicts someone of a crime — finding them guilty — this is called a conviction. Prosecutors try to get convictions, and defense attorneys try to prevent them. Also, convictions are beliefs — principles. The United States was founded on many convictions, such as the belief in free speech and separation of church and state. When you have a conviction, you’re certain of something.
The opposite of conviction or feeling convicted… is arrogance or living in arrogance.
No thank you.
I used 3 books to aide me in my research this lesson:
I truly enjoyed studying and researching this week’s Jewish Terminology Word.
What lead me to research specifically this word?
I am glad you asked….

This week we will be studying Tehillim 125 with the Hebrew and Jewish Terminology Words of the Week not to be hypocrites to Goodness of G-d, hypocritical of one’s G-dly ways, or to live in hypocrisy others and oneself.
For now we will put a paper clip here, but please keep this in mind not only for the live or uploaded lesson just the same later in this Blog.
credit to my study source:
Anyhow, another book I use from my home library, Tehillim Books of Psalms which has commentary from Talmud, Midrash, Kabbalah, classic commentators, and Chasidic Masters; has the commentary paragraph by page 266b paragraph commentary p126:1 and it asks:
“Am I a hypocrite?” One of the greatest impediments to living a Godly life is the sense that ine is being dishonest. How can I pursue holiness when I know of my selfish or animalistic tendencies? Why bother doing a mitzvah if I’ve just committed a sin?
The words “hypocrite” just hit me the right way. This question “Am I a hypocrite?” (asking G-d for advice of course) had me thinking and asking some questions.
I asked myself…….
- Am I a Hypocrite?
- Answer: Sometimes Yes, other times No.
- What does the Tanakh say about Hypocrites?
- Are there examples of Hypocrites in Tankah?
You know my dear friends and family something that just hit me the right way regarding this meditation on the Psalms 125 time…..
Which lead to look up the below books, chapters, and verses. I want to very much tho share these with all my dear friends and family.
The answer is: of course!
Sooooo here it goes!
Job 13: 16 reads: “This also shall be my salvation, That a hypocrite cannot come before Him.”
The Sanhedrin states this about hypocrites:
Sanhedrin 103a:12
Apropos the previous statement, the Gemara cites an additional statement.
And Rav Ḥisda says that Rabbi Yirmeya bar Abba says that four groups do not receive the Divine Presence: This pertains to the group of cynics, the group of liars, the group of flatterers, and the group of slanderers. This pertains to the group of cynics, as it is written: “He withdrew His hand with cynics”
(Hosea 7:5), indicating that God distanced Himself from them. This pertains to the group of liars, as it is written: “He that speaks falsehoods shall not be established before My eyes”
(Psalms 101:7). This pertains to the group of flatterers, as it is written: “That a flatterer shall not come before Him”
(Job 13:16). This pertains to the group of slanderers, as it is stated: “For You are not a God who desires wickedness; evil shall not dwell with You”
(Psalms 5:5), which means: You are righteous, and there will be no form of evil in Your dwelling.
This spiritual teaching might seem too deep, but I think we friends are are ready to hear and share this wisdom that is back up by you guessed it…. Torah and Tanakh.
Kabbalah teaches us this about hypocrisy:
Sha’arei Kedusha, Part 2 5:27
The flatterer is amongst the four classes of people who shall not greet the countenance of the Indwelling Presence of HaShem-יהו״ה, blessed is He (the Shechinah). This is because he denigrates the honor of the Ever Present One, HaShem-יהו״ה, blessed is He, when he cajoles and flatters the wicked. This is as written, “One who tells a wicked person, ‘You are righteous,’ – the peoples shall curse him, the nations shall despise him.” Even if he flatters and cajoles a person who is not wicked, it nevertheless is as if he fears man and places his trust in man, as it is written, “Accursed is the man who puts his trust in people.” Regarding such a person the verse states, “The flatterer shall not come before Him.”
JewishEncylopedia.com states this about hypocrisy:
A word derived from the Greek ὑποκρίσις=”the playing a part on the stage.” It denotes acting a false part in life; pretending to be pious or righteous when one is not. It is only in later Hebrew that “ḥanufah” and “ḥanef” refer to this failing; hence it is incorrect for the Authorized Version to use “hypocrisy” as the translation of the Biblical “ḥanufah” and “ḥanef,” which really denote respectively “wickedness” or “impiety” and “the wicked” or “the impious”;
It further states:
“Ḥanufah” in the Talmud denotes also flattery, which is another mode of simulation (so Soṭah 41b); wherefore it is difficult to say whether flattery or hypocrisy is meant when it is said: “He in whom there is ḥanufah brings wrath upon the world, nor will his prayer be heard”
Proverbs 6 reads:
6
My son, if thou be surety for thy friend, if thou hast struck thy palms for a stranger,
if thou art snared with the words of thy mouth, caught with the sayings of thy mouth:
do this now, my son, and deliver thyself, when thou art come into the hand of thy neighbour; go, abase thyself, and importune thy neighbour.
Give no sleep to thy eyes, nor slumber to thy eyelids.
Deliver thyself like a gazelle from the hand of the hunter, and like a bird from the hand of the fowler.
Go to the ant, thou sluggard; consider her ways, and be wise:
which having no guide, overseer, or ruler;
provides her bread in the summer, and gathers her food in the harvest.
How long wilt thou sleep, O sluggard? when wilt thou arise out of thy sleep?
A little sleep, a little slumber, a little folding of the hands to sleep:
so shall thy poverty come like a marauder, and thy want like an armed man.
A base person, a wicked man, is one that walks with a crowed mouth,
that winks with his eyes, that taps with his feet, that points with his fingers;
perverseness is in his heart; he devises mischief continually; he sows discord.
Therefore shall his calamity come suddenly; suddenly shall he be broken without remedy.
There are six things which the Lord hates, and seven which are an abomination to him:
a proud look, a lying tongue, and hands that shed innocent blood,
a heart that devises wicked thoughts, feet that are swift in running to mischief,
a false witness that breathes out lies, and one that sows discord among brethren.
My son, keep thy father’s commandment, and forsake not the Tora of thy mother:
bind them continually upon thy heart, and tie them about thy neck.
When thou walkest, it shall lead thee; when thou liest down, it shall keep thee; and when thou awakest, it shall talk with thee.
For the commandment is a lamp; and Tora is light; and reproofs of instruction are the way of life:
to keep thee from the evil woman, from the smoothness of the tongue of an alien.
Lust not after her beauty in thy heart; nor let her take thee with her eyelids.
For by means of a harlot a man is brought to a piece of bread: and the adulteress will hunt for the precious life.
Can a man take fire in his bosom, and his clothes not be burned?
Can one walk upon hot coals, and his feet not be scorched?
So he that goes in to his neighbour’s wife; whoever touches her shall not go unpunished.
Do not men despise a thief, even if he steals to satisfy his soul when he is hungry?
And if he be found, he shall restore sevenfold; he shall give all the substance of his house.
He who commits adultery with a woman lacks understanding: he who does that destroys his soul.
A wound and dishonour shall he get; and his reproach shall not be wiped away.
For jealousy is the rage of a man: and he will not spare in the day of vengeance.
He will not regard any ransom; nor will he rest content, though thou givest many gifts.
How can we related the Hebrew and Jewish terminology word of the Week?
A Hypocrite Tsa voo’a is someone so numb to one’s wicked ways, that person does not care to seek to improve oneself. In fact, the hypocrite often encourages others who are just if not more wicked than oneself to engage in multiple hypocrisies tsvee’oot, sowing division, hate, and toxic environment. The hypocrite thrives in imposing hypocrisy in almost a gang or corrupt war-like manner, always aiming to target the righteous.
The specific relevant content for this request, if necessary, delimited with characters:
The hypocritical tsva’ot, nature of a person(s) is a demonic or negatively filled existence, which not only affects them, but the locations or establishments they frequent or have a strong hold over. The hypocrite tsa voo’a, aims to control as a tyrant, through oppression. This may be settled, this may be aggressive, but it is always causing destruction. They have no true sense or realization of themselves; therefore, they have no true love for friends, family, or associates. The hypocrite tsa voo’a, is only after what will gain for themselves.
Ask oneself? Is there someone exhibiting hypocritical behavior or tendency in your own workplace, business, or place of worship, prayer group, or relationship? Are you at peace? Is there peace? Do people get along better when that person is not around? Does that person seem to always be attacking or speaking evil of others or a specific person?
If so………
Don't support a hypocrite. Don't encourage the hypocrite to continue wrongdoing and to set evil against your home, finances, or life.
Some seeking improvement or to better their faults, is not a true hypocrite. For they feel remorse and seek to make atonements of wicked ways. They still have a desire to lessen any animalistic form of the hypocritical nature that plagues them.
We close with a wise saying…….
Omayn and Omayn.
